Tigers Card Tuesday (Weld)...For the LOVE of Miguel Cabrera

Its another Tigers Card Tuesday! on ye olde blog today.

Miguel Cabrera struggled a bit in 2020, but when it all came together as the season was winding up, the future HOFer showed off that old Triple Crown power, and has put himself in reach for historic numbers at the start of 2021.

Cabrera will start next season w/ 2,866 base hits, and 487 home runs, and all Tigers fans will be able to celebrate the 2012 & 2013 American League MVP as he hits his 500th career HR, and collects the 3,000th base hit of his remarkable big league career.

What better way to celebrate Tigers Card Tuesday than also celebrating movie and TV actress Tuesday Weld.

Tuesday Weld was a star in the 1960s, on both the silver screen and on television.

Rotten Tomatoes has given her a  πŸ’― for her role in the 1968 film Pretty Poison, opposite Anthony Perkins.

Weld was also a love interest for David Jansen in The Fugitive.

Later on in life she was in the 1993 movie Falling Down, playing the wife Robert Duvall.

🎬 Full disclosure- I've seen Falling Down a few times, and not until I was looking up her bio info did I know that Weld was Duvall's wife in the movie.

πŸ€” What's your favorite Miguel Cabrera card?

πŸ€” Have you seen a TV show, or a movie that had Tuesday Weld in it?

πŸ€” Have you been keeping up with Collecting Cutch and his October posts?

πŸ’— Make sure you hop on over and check out today's post.

πŸ‘ Remember, each post by CUTCH is to raise awareness for Breast Cancer, a truly deadly disease that affects to many women in America. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Have a great Tuesday!

  1. Boy, I don't think I've ever seen her in anything apart from an episode or two of Dobie Gillis. But I did see her once in a restaurant in New York! My parents thought they recognized her, and the waiter confirmed it was her.

Walter Egan, best known for the 70s hit "Magnet And Steel", did a great song about her. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxCq9mRv4s8

  2. I've watched a lot of older films but don't think I've seen any of Tuesday's work. I don't have a fave Cabrera card. The refractor above looks fantastic. I hope Miggs plays well next year and gets #3000. He was in old form recently. It's about time.

    B. I've seen Falling Down, but didn't know who Weld was until this post.

    C. Yup. Been reading his posts and a bunch of other bloggers showing off their pink cards.

    D. Love how you got that pink refractor to shine like that. I wish my scanner did that.

    1. No scanner, I found it on eBay. I have the card, but my photo skills aren't very good, so I just went with the best I could find.
