Tigers RHP Keider Montero makes his debut on Tigers Card Tuesday!
Montero has been filling on the rotation spot for the injured Justin Verlander.
Keider is 3-5 this year, but his ERA is 3.68, and he has won 2 of his kast 3 starts.
Absolutely love this edition of Topps Chrome Platinum, I got most of the base cards from the same guy that I talk with about the Living Set cards.
Hope all of you fabulous bloggers are
Tigers Card Tuesday!
You just never know what's gonna happen in a baseball game.
Last night in Houston, Tigers 3rd Baseman Colt Keith joined an exclusive Detroit Tigers club last night, hitting three home runs.
#255 Colt Keith
🐅⚾️ After not hitting a home run until last week, Colt has 4 dingers in his last 4 games played, and all Tigers fans are hoping he keeps it going the rest of the season.
3️⃣ HRs in a Game, Detroit Tigers.

Today we send out Happy Baseball Birthday! Best Wishes to former big league catcher Lance Parrish.
🐅 1987 Topps #791
Lance Parrish ⚾️
"The Big Wheel" on the 1984 World Series Champion Detroit Tigers, Lance was a terrific backstop, who's 19 year career saw stops in Anaheim, Philadelphia after 10 years in the Motor City.
Lance finished up with one year stops with the Blue Jays, Mariners, Pirates, and Indians.
Lance hit 212 of his 324 homers playing for the Tigers, the most for any Detroit catcher (Bill Freehan-200).
Hope Lance his celebrating a big milestone Birthday today. 🎂
Enjoy the rest of your Monday night, and, as always, Play BALL! 🐅⚾️
"...its just another McGonigle Monday."
Balloting for the 2026 All-Star Game in Philadelphia is underway.
Tigers rookie Kevin McGonigle is 3rd in ASG Voting so far.
He won't catch Bobby Witt, but its nice to see him in 3rd place.
Hopefully Tigers fans will keep getting those 5 votes in every day.
Have a great week, and, remember, get those votes in for your favorite players.

Here's to the Grand Olde Flag! on this magnificent day across America!
I had to find a good card to post today.

"...its just another McGonigle Monday."
Been thinking about a new Monday post to start the week.
Then, yesterday, I saw this, and, well, this young Detroit Tigers fan sealed the deal.
🥽 Hope young Cece applied for that patent pending after creating MCGONIGOGGLES.
Kevin McGonigle has that rare quality is a young prospect...he absolutely loves to play baseball.
My only card of Kevin is his base Topps NOW card of 2026.
👀 Doing an ebay search this morning shows plenty of affordable Bowman base cards of the native from Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania...McGonnigoggles not included.
🥽 Certainly like the Flying Tigers card of Kevin.
Hope that each and every one of you has a wonderful week, and I thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by and read my blog.

Until searching through eBay last week I hadn't remembered this 1991 Topps Stadium Club card of Oil Can Boyd before.
📱(Please remember that I only have my phone to take pictures)
It's easily the coolest card of his, a nice in action photo of him and former big league catcher Mike Fitzgerald after what was an obvious complete game victory (you kids can look that up).
It's now secured in the binder, a great purchase of $1.67... ##yeahBOYD!
Have a great rest of your day and thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by and read my blog.

The Tigers are not playing well.
After last night's 8-2 loss to the first place Cleveland Guardians, the Tigers are now 2-8 in their last 10 games.
Riley Greene had two hits last night (yes, he did get picked off 1st Base. 😐)
Tigers Card Tuesday!
If you're old enough to remember the 1987 American League Championship Series, well, then, you'll understand my response to the latest Blog Bat Around.
I started disliking/disgust of the Minnesota Twins in that '87 ALCS, and, as a result of that ugly 5 game series loss by my beloved Detroit Tigers, the Twinkies officially replaced the New York Yankees as the team I disliked the most.
The fact that the Twinkies won the World Series in '87, and, again in 1991, with former Tigers ace and future Hall of Famer, Jack Morris.
The last half of the 1990s were not good for the Tigers, especially when facing them Twins Ace Brad Radke.
The reign of terror continued in the 2000s with sluggers Justin Morneau and future HOFer, Joe Mauer.
In the 2010s it was Brian Dozier crushing baseballs against, seemingly, every Detroit pitcher. 9
I was born in 1960, is my favorite of all the Topps cards of the decade.
When he's healthy, Byron Buxton is a magnificent ballplayer.

Well, that's it, appreciate Night Owl for starting this Bat Around.
As usual, thanks so much for taking time out of your day to stop by and read my blog.

Tigers Card Tuesday
Detroit Tigers rookie Keving McGonigle had a big league debut to remember.

Bill Freehan is on the list on this Sporcle quiz for his 1967 season.
Happy Tigers Card Tuesday!
This week's Card on the Table
Tarik Skubal, fresh off back to back America League Cy Young Awards, will take the ball for Detroit.
It's a cool combo today on ye olde blog, a two fer' Tuesday, if you will.
I've combined Tigers Card Tuesday & Card on the Table for one post, because, well, I was battling fibromyalgia for a few days and didn't have the energy.
🐅⚾️Any time I can feature a card of the greatest hitter in Tigers history, it's definitely a good thing.
🍑 The Georgia Peach won 12 American League batting championships, hit .366 for his entire career, and, was, fittingly, the first player elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
If you're a baseball card fan, and youre on TwitterX, you should, hopefully, been following Cigar Box Cards for great hobby content.
Also, the Olde English D wood block is from Cash Lumber , a Christmas gift...or, his website, here.
Have a great week, and, as always, I appreciate you taking time out of your day to stop by and read my blog.
