Monday Mailbox- A Pair of Topps NOW

Living in a motel isn't fun.

The biggest problem over the last 6 months, or so, is battling with our old PO Box and cards that have taken forever to arrive.

Started have my wife order cards using her address at her new job, as, that's also where I get all my medicine from the VA delivered (can't trust the hotel management).

Today's mail included two Topps NOW cards that I'm very excited about.

Matthew Boyd recorded the 1000th strikeout of his career.

Riley Greene played in his 2nd consecutive All-Star Game, one of 5 Tigers to start the game.

As I've posted before, I live Topps NOW cards, they tell a day by day story of baseball history.

Do you collect Topps NOW cards?

👋 I know one Blogger who does..

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog.

  1. I don't have a lot of Topps Now cards but when there's something interesting with the Mets I'll see how low the presale prices go on eBay. Actually thought about buying the one for the Little League classic which is up now but the best price disappeared, But for example I bought two Luisangel Acuña ones when he was first called up and I've got a couple Alonsos.

Also sometimes pick them up later--I've even found a couple in dime boxes which amazed me. I'll buy them in a dime box no matter who it is!

  2. I have a small collection of Topps Now that typically falls into 3 categories:

    1. games I've attended
    2. cards for my player or team collections
    3. cards featuring my birthday

Sometimes I'll venture outside of these three categories. For example... if I see them in a dollar box or if a really cool event occurs, but that's not very often.
