16 Days of Boydmas- First Look 👀

2025 Topps Heritage Update, #531, Matthew Boyd

These are what Topps cards looked like when we opened up wax packs in 1976.

Only two more days to Christmas 🎄,  hoping that all of you have a safe Holiday Season.

16 Days of Boydsmas- 12/21/25

 Boyd Dowler, Lombardi Packers.

I'm not able to watch my Lions play today (we can't get CBS in our motel room), or, on Christmas Day (no Netflix).

After the Packers loss to the Bears yesterday, the only scenario that allows the Lions to make the playoffs is to win their remaining three games and for Green Bay ( beat Lions twice), to lose 1 more game.

Enjoy the football today, and, as always, thanks for taking time out of your day to stop by and read my blog.

p.s.. 50 days until pitchers and catchers report!

Freehan On Friday, 12/19/2025

1️⃣1️⃣ This was a cool find on eBay.

➡️ I had no idea it was a graded card.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and, as always, I appreciate you taking time out of your day to stop by and read my blog.

16 Days of Boydsmas-Day 7

It's Tuesday night, December 16th.

                    16 Days of Boydmas

This was easily my favorite uniform/ballcap combo that the Chicago Cubs wore in 2025.

Have a terrific Tuesday night, and, as always, Play BALL! 🐻⚾️

16 Days of Boydsmas- Day 6

Such a tragic weekend.

We need much more kindness in the world.

Matthew Boyd and his wife, Ashley, run Kingdom Home.

Apologies for being late on this, Monday just got busy.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog.

16 Days of Boydsmas- Day 5

16 Days of Boydsmas- Day 5.

In 2025, Matthew Boyd was a finalist for a Gold Glove Award in the National League.

Matthew's lifetime fielding percentage is .924, and, 5 times he's had a perfect 1.000% percentage.

To me, 2020 Topps Turkey Red is pretty much perfect.

🐅⚾️ #'d 48/ 50...Matthew's number with the Tigers.

Have a Super Sunday!

p.s... Go Lions!🦁🏈

16 Days of Boydsmas- Day 4

Late post again today.

According to my friend Dennis, Matthew Boyd has 146 different cards listed on TCDB in 2025.

⚾️ (2025 Topps Archives not added yet)

No, I won't be able to acquire all 146 cards,

Bonus- Navy 17 Arny 16. GO NAVY! ⚓️

Freehan On Friday- 12/12/2025

Posting about Bill Freehan every Friday until, well, whenever.

Bill collected 12 doubles in his first full season, in 1963, and, he smacked 12 home runs in 1965.

Have a great weekend...Play BALL! 🐅⚾️

16 Days of Boydsmas-Day 3

It's just about 10 pm on Friday night, just me and Trammell as Tracy has gone up north on a work trip.

It's so cool when your favorite pitcher acknowledges a post of yours.

Yes, it made my day.

Have a good rest.
Oh, and, Play BALL!

16 Days of Boydsmas-Day2

Christmas is exactly two weeks away.

Allen & Ginter has been out for a week now, and I'm enjoying reading the blogs and posts on TweetX from collectors that have opened up packs, hangers, and both retail and hobby boxes.

A&G is a terrific product, and, I look forward to getting some after the New Year.

I'm posting my favorite Matthew Boyd A&G card for today's 16 Days of Boydsmas.

It's a 1/1 card.

The framed mini A&G cards are so cool

Thanks for taking time out of your day to stop by and read my blog.

16 Days of Boydsmas -Day 1

We're just a couple weeks from Christmas, gonna celebrate by posting 16 different Matthew Boyd cards (his number with the Cubs).

Today is my favorite day of the week, the day that Topps releases two new Living Set cards.

Matthew has one Living Set card (so far).

I'm obviously hoping that Matthew gets another Living Set Cards as a Cubs player.

Have a great day, and, as always, Play BALL!

Freehan on Friday

Bill Freehan would've been 84 last Saturday.

The late Tigers catcher, the greatest to ever don the Olde English D tools of ignorance, is, still, my All-Time favorite baseball player.

This will never change.

Last week I started posting leading up to his Birthday, as I do every year, however, my health just didn't allow me to continue.

I'm gonna try to post Freehan on Friday as often as I can, so that I can make up for the lack of posts last week.

Hope you all had a magnificent Thanksgiving, and that all of us can keep progressing forward to a very Happy Christmas in a few weeks.

Have a great weekend, and, as always, Play BALL! 🐅⚾️
