Sanchez pitched 7 2/3 innings of no-hit ball against the Cardinals, reminding us Tigers fans of Game 1 of the 2013 ALCS when Anibal pitched six no hit innings at Fenway Park, as Detroit beat Boston.

To be honest, I dont remember how I came across this beautiful card, it was most surely from a contest on a blog, or from my Tigers Facebook group.
👉 In that terrific 2013 season, Sanchez compiled a 14-8 record, and led the American League with a 2.57 ERA.
Anibal is widely respected around baseball, and from what I read over the weekend, was a terrific teammate in the Tigers clubhouse...which explains this look.

To this day, I have no idea how the Red Sox were able to get past that Tiger's pitching staff - Sanchez, Scherzer, and Verlander were virtually untouchable! The fact that these guys are still dealing in the postseason this year is a testament to their talent!
