Aaron Judge is Card #1

Today on the MLB Network, it was revealed that card #1 in Series One Topps Baseball for 2018 is none other than 2017 American League Rookie of the Year Aaron Judge.

Looking at the card, I absolutely love the photo chosen for the card, probably a Judge homer at fabled Fenway Park, and the Topps Rookie Cup makes the card an must have for any collection.

Collectors had the opportunity to vote for the #1 card last year.

The Cubs Kris Bryant was card #1 in 2016, with the Angels Mike Trout garnering the honor in 2017.

Topps Series 1 comes out this  Wednesday.

  1. They held Kris Bryant out of Series 1 this year. Shame, haha. But I don't think this was ANY surprise.

  2. I think the only thing I don't particularly care for is that card #1 is a "Future Stars" subset. I like it better when it is a regular base card, but I suppose #1 is a number reserved for a star and Judge is definitely a star.
